PRP (platelet rich plasma)

PRP (platelet rich plasma)

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma - blood plasma containing a high concentration of platelets (also known as thrombocytes).

PRP therapy, helps to accelerate and promote the body's natural healing and rejuvenation process using your own blood.

PRP was initially developed 20 years ago to aid with wound healing and blood loss.  Now it is being used successfully across a wide range of applications such as skin rejuvenation, hair loss treatment, sports injuries, wound care and gynaecology.

PRP therapy uses your own cells and body's natural growth factors to revitalise your skin, promote natural collagen formulation and rejuvenate your youthful appearance.

Otherwise known as the Vampire Facial, this treatment can be used on your face, neck, chest and decolletage and backs of hands.

Suitable for tired and dry skin, uneven pigmentation, wrinkles and dark circles and to improve overall texture and skin tone.

The procedure is simple, blood is collected from you in 1 -2  specially designed tubes, which are centrifuged for 5 - 10 minutes.  This isolates the PRP from unrequired cells within the blood.  The PRP, a lovely golden fluid, is then ready for application.
